Build A Better Burger® With 16 Ingredients Or Less |
GEOGLE | Building a delicious burger doesn't always require a long list of ingredients. In fact, you can create a mouthwatering burger using just a few key components. Here's a simple yet flavorful recipe for a Better Burger® with 16 ingredients or less:
Ingredients:
1. Ground beef (preferably 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio) - 1 pound
2. Hamburger buns - 4
3. Salt - to taste
4. Black pepper - to taste
5. Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
6. Onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
7. Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
8. Tomato slices - 4
9. Lettuce leaves - 4
10. Red onion slices - optional
11. Pickle slices - optional
12. Cheese slices (Cheddar, American, or your preferred cheese) - optional
13. Ketchup - optional
14. Mustard - optional
15. Mayonnaise - optional
16. Olive oil for grilling
Instructions:
1. Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle to medium-high heat.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Gently mix the ingredients together, being careful not to overwork the meat. Form the mixture into four equal-sized patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.
3. Brush the grill or griddle with a little olive oil to prevent sticking. Place the burger patties on the hot grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. If using cheese slices, add them to the burgers during the last minute of cooking to allow them to melt.
4. While the burgers cook, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
5. Once the burgers are cooked, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
6. Assemble the burgers: Place a cooked patty on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Add tomato slices, lettuce leaves, and any other desired toppings such as red onion slices or pickle slices.
7. Optionally, spread ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise on the top half of the bun. Place the bun top on the assembled burger.
8. Serve your Better Burger® immediately and enjoy!
Feel free to adjust the seasonings and toppings according to your taste preferences. This recipe provides a solid foundation for a delicious and satisfying burger with minimal ingredients, allowing the flavors of the juicy beef patty to shine.
