The mosque is one of the largest Islamic centers in Europe and can accommodate up to 1,200 worshippers. The building is designed in a traditional Islamic style, with two minarets and a large dome in the middle.

In addition to the two mosques above there is the Masjid de Gunja which is the oldest active mosque in Croatia, built in 1969. This mosque does not have a dome, but has a beautiful arched roof.
