Nothing Phone Design (1)
One of the main attractions of Nothing Phone (1) is its design. It does look different from other Android phones, especially on the back.
The back is referred to as the Glyph interface. The back case is made transparent so you can peek inside. Interestingly, this section is equipped with 900 LEDs that can light up when receiving a call, notifications from applications, battery charging status, and other functions.
You can also pair specific LED light patterns to individual contact ringtones. There is also a feature called Flip to Glyph, where the cellphone will go into silent mode when placed upside down (back above, screen below). When in this mode, the LED light will light up when receiving a notification.
LED lights are installed in various places, such as in the camera module, center, and other places.
Nothing Phone (1)'s design is similar to that of the iPhone, more towards the box. It has a 100 percent recycled aluminum frame which makes it light and looks sturdy.
Nothing Phone (1) uses a 6.55-inch OLED screen. The screen supports a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and HDR10+. The screen is protected again with tough glass Corning Gorilla Glass 5. On the back there is also the glass.
On the screen, there is a hole ( punch hole ) at the top left of the screen. In that section, there is a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.5 aperture IMX471 sensor.
On the back, there are two cameras in an elliptical module. The camera configuration of Nothing Phone (1) is interesting, namely 50MP with Sony IMX766 sensor + 50MP ultra-wide camera with Samsung JN1 sensor which can be used to shoot 4cm macro.
Plus, the Nothing Phone (1) is IP53 certified, meaning it's water and dust resistant.
